The International School of Ethnobiology returns for its 5th edition in Recife, Brazil, at the Centro de Biociências (UFPE), on November 4–5, 2025. Two immersive days of advanced training, cutting-edge debate, and collaborative agenda-setting for the field.

New this year — International Ethnobiology Prize

Launch of the International Ethnobiology Prize – Disruptive Contribution & Epistemic Justice, recognizing impactful, original work—especially from the Global South—that advances ethnobiology, promotes epistemic justice, and values the knowledge of Indigenous peoples and traditional communities. Nominations are open until September 30, 2025.
